Our client is seeking a Senior Java Developer for Funding Desk. Andiamo Partners represents numerous financial services and technology firms as a Tier I recruiting vendor.

Job Summary & Responsibilities:

A senior developer with a proven record of delivery is required for the Central Funding Technology team.

The developer will join a global team and work closely with the business partners, a strong development team and a technical architect to build out, enhance and maintain projects in the Funding area.

The team operates within a strong development platform with continuous builds, automated testing and peer code reviews.

Projects for 2013 include building a new overnight cash investment platform, new FX trade planners and enhancements to Prime Broker management tools.

The role also involves support, maintenance and enhancement of the applications that the team builds.

Basic Qualifications:

• Graduate with at least 5-7 years of relevant experience, including:
• solid, hands-on technical background, with experience on global development projects
• server-side Java, Sybase / DB2, Unix/Linux
• strong analytical skills, and the ability to work directly with a front office business team (Central Funding Group) refining business requirements
• excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the financial services industry, preferably including broad product knowledge (Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives). Understanding of Hedge Funds, Securities Lending (Repo, borrows etc.), funding and leverage would be an advantage.
• Technical Skills: .Net & C# experience, Spring
