   The team Investment Bank Markets Technology provides end to end technology solutions for the firm's Investment Banking, Sales & Trading and Risk Management business areas.   Pyramid is a strategic platform for processing and risk managing derivatives in the Investment Bank.  It is used by Credit Hybrids, Equity Derivatives, Commodity Exotics and Interest Rate Hybrids businesses globally.  The trade processing suite is responsible for trade capture, event & position management, and feeds to downstream systems such as accounting and legal documentation.  Products range from high volume listed products to highly complex over-the-counter structured derivatives.   The platform uses a range of technologies including Java, C#/.net, C++, and Sybase/SQL on Windows and Linux platforms.  This is an opportunity to join an award winning technology team with strong business sponsorship to deliver revenue enhancing technology and industry wide transformation.   The role Hands on lead engineer to build out derivatives trade management functionality across a number of services and lead the Equity Derivatives Trade Management technology agenda in New York.     Key Responsibilities ·         Partner with Operations group to gather business requirements and prioritize ·         Design and code business functionality on a number of services including Transaction service and Termsheet Generation. ·         Ensure solutions conform to best practice design principals and meet capacity and resilience as well as functional requirements. ·         Agree test strategy and co-ordinate test execution with business users. ·         Take ownership for resolution of any production issues post implementation. ·         Liaise with global Project Managers on end-to-end delivery. ·         Report progress to senior management. Good communication skills will be paramount. Requirements We are looking for a highly talented and driven technologist who has a track record of delivering outstanding solutions in an investment bank or other fast-paced industry where first class solutions are the norm.   Essential skills ·         Typically 10 years hands-on experience and expert on Java, C# is a plus ·         Track record of working on distributed systems and service-oriented architecture with complex system interactions. ·         Strong understanding of equity derivatives and securities (transaction processing / order management) ·         Relational database experience and SQL. ·         Experience of JMS and AMQ messaging, FIX / FPML ·         Data structure design skills with in-depth knowledge of object modelling and design patterns ·         Strong communication and team-working skills including mentoring. ·         Computer science background with an intellectual rigour. ·         Proven track record of ownership and delivery, strong leadership   Desirable skills ·         Experience and working knowledge of JUnit, Maven, Tomcat ·         Agile development techniques   Education To degree level, ideally in a computer science, mathematical or engineering discipline
