THE LOCATION FOR THIS POSITION IS OPEN, NATIONAL. CANDIDATE MUST BE OPEN TO 50-65% TRAVEL.

The candidate needs to be proficient in multiple disciplines within information security; including business process security, data security and classification, access control practices, risk analysis/management, network security, and vulnerability assessment. The consultant*s primary duties will be focused on data security projects; typical engagements require the consultant to work with customers at a high-level to help them understand and prepare for various data security projects such as data classification methodology development, data leakage roadmapping, and business/data lifecycle discovery and controls analysis. The candidate must possess the ability work at both macro and micro levels of data security, create methodologies that efficiently and effectively bridge business processes to security processes and controls, and communicate engagement conclusions and suggestions to all levels of management.

In addition, the consultant will also be give ample opportunities to work in other assessment areas including compliance, network assessment, applications security, risk management, etc.

Job Requirements:
Qualified candidates should understand how data security is driven by business processes, regulatory compliance requirements, and security best practices. The candidate should also possess the ability to work with technologies at all levels, including the network, operating system, and application levels. Hands on experience with multiple operating system and database environments is required. Furthermore, the candidate must demonstrate a thorough understanding of general information security controls (administrative, logical, and physical); including policy development, data classification, access control deployment and user provisioning, encryption, and systems monitoring. The candidate should also be familiar with security and IT control frameworks.

* Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, and GIAC are a plus.
* Bachelor*s or Master*s degrees in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Information Assurance will be considered.
* Individuals with experience that required security clearances will be considered higher.
* 3 to 5 years of Information Security experience (minimum).
* Prior experience working in an information security consulting role.
* Good communication skills are necessary. The candidate must be able to effectively communicate with the client:
o Effectively communicate with all levels of management
o Project Management skills and experience is a plus
o Good writing and documentation skills
