2 User Interface Designer positions available.

#1.  User Interface position overview:This is a strategic position within the firm that requires a highly creative individual who possesses a strong understanding of UI/UX principles as they apply to Windows client applications and web design.  The ideal candidate will work closely with product management, subject matter experts and development to conceive and execute a consistent design strategy in a fast-paced environment.  The position will be responsible for the overall advancement of the user experience for both internal and external clients.   The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following: 

• Transform product vision into attractive, consistent designs which leverage cutting-edge technology and usability patterns


• Crafting comprehensive designs for new products, new functionality as well as upgrading existing production applications


• Work with clients, business analysts, technical staff, and project team members to plan, design, develop, implement, and enhance applications


• Develop and maintain design standards for look and feel


• Create wireframes, mockups and detailed UI design specifications from which engineers develop and test


• Comprehensively document use-case scenarios


• Copywriting skills for authoring professional, grammatically correct copy using a consistent voice for application messaging


• Select coordinating graphics and/or commission the creation of professional artwork for use in our application front ends


• Prepare artwork for use in application code 

Candidate Qualities:  The ideal candidate would have 7+ years in progressively advanced roles in user interface or user interaction specific roles.  Significant Windows client application design experience required.  The position requires strong creative, graphical, consulting and communication skills as well as a broad knowledge of IT technologies.  Candidates should be able to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic, challenging environment.  While working directly with business stakeholders, candidates must be able to elicit key criteria and goals for successful initial designs.  Prior work in the eDiscovery field will be considered a major plus.  Work in a self-directed environment where strong teamwork, individual initiative and accountability are highly valued and expected.   Personal flexibility and ability to work within a global footprint is a must. 

Requirements

·   5+ years experience designing Windows client application user interfaces 
·   5+ years Visual Studio experience
·   2+ years web design experience
·   2+ years HTML/CSS, Javascript, XML development
·   1+ years Adobe Creative Suite experience 

Education and Work Experience Required

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Cognitive Science, Human Computer Interaction or equivalent is preferred with at least 5 years of user interface design OR equivalent progressive work experience.  _________________________________________________________________________________________

#2. User Interface Designer posiiton overview:

Required Skills: 

• Assist in usability research


• Assist in translating usability research findings into new product features and design improvements


• Participation in the creation of user/process flows for new product features and improvements


• Utilization of strong design skills to create high quality graphic for web-based systems


• Creation of production ready design elements


• Understanding and balancing business needs, end user expectations, and innovation


• Participation in the creation of native and web mobile applications


• 5+ years experience designing complex web-based systems


• Thorough understanding of overall UI design


• Strong understanding of the user-centered design process


• High proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator


• Solid ability to generate design concepts and expand them into a detailed design


• Experience with industry tools for generating UI prototypes, UI specifications, flow diagrams, and wireframes


• Exhibit stylistic breadth, consistency, attention to detail balanced with beauty, innovation and usability


• Ability to take direction in meeting creative and business objectives


• Strong organizational skills


• Must be able to work effectively under deadlines and manage concurrent projects


• Ability to prototype with HTML, CSS and jQuery is a huge plus


• Online portfolio or live example of work

Education: 

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design or equivalent preferred
