VP of Business Development
Our company specializes in I.T. consulting and recruiting services and we are looking for our VP of Business Development. All of our consultants start on a contract to hire basis, as well as, a training program before they are offered a salaried position. Many of you will decide to move on now as we will do the same thing for this position as well (or close to it..).
Each and every member of our company needs to “pay for their place at the table” via their contributions. The same is true for our VP of Business Development. We are not looking for someone who just wants “A Job” but rather someone who is looking to partner with like-minded entrepreneurial individuals and truly share in our mutual success. If you have previous experience in selling I.T. consulting services, long term staff augmentation, training, etc preference will be given.
So how does this all work? How do I get started?
Once the candidate has brought a deal or contract in that nets income to the company the candidate will receive 50% of the net profit. If that amount “pays for their place at the table” i.e. their monthly cost to the company they will be offered a full time salaried position. If this does not happen within the first 30 days they will still receive the commission but not the salaried position until they can demonstrate they can cover their costs via their efforts. We cannot expect our VP to inspire and manage others to bring substantive value to the company if they themselves cannot.
In short, the goal is not to have our VP on in a strictly commission basis but rather to have them quickly prove themselves and move into a Salaried position in a key leadership role.
This position is not for the majority of you, it is for that special person who has a book of business (or can build one) and wants to join a company and partner with their success by adding theirs to it. If this is you and this what you’re looking for then we want to talk with you immediately! Please send your cover letter and resume to email@example.com with a subject title of VP of Business Development (no calls please).
