On behalf of a Pennsylvania firm, Access Staffing is conducting a search for a Junior to  Intermediate level Software Engineer to join a team in the development of components of web-based, client server and standalone cross platform commercial software products.

This is a direct/permanent position located in Pittsburgh with a fast growing web services and software products development firm. US citizens and Green Card Holders and those authorized to work in the US are encouraged to apply.  We are unable to sponsor H1B candidates at this time. Local candidates and candidates not requiring relocation or interview assistance are currently being considered; relocation assistance is not available.

This position will require not only good technical skills, but creativity, imagination and analytical skills. This is a position that will appeal to someone who likes to think outside the box; someone who is innovative, who loves technology and is adaptable to varied programming languages, tools and development environments. Applications development work includes both database-driven, customer facing Web sites and portals as well as customized client /server and desktop application development and maintenance.

Candidates should have:

• At least 2 years of related professional experience with web development technologies and methodologies. Experience with .Net preferred
• A passion for technology, with a willingness and ability to learn and use new technologies
• Experience with data store architecture (schema design, data constraints, integrity, stored procedures, query optimization, etc.)
• Proficiency with any of the following is a plus: SQL Server, ASP.net, javascript (jQuery specifically) and/or HTML
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar preferred
