This Work:

Kore Federal addresses threat scenarios in a particular area of our work. We specialize in targeting and analysis. We have business/threat SMEs to bound the domain and identify data sources we can use to analyze the threat(s). We have database engineers to extract pertinent data from structured and unstructured data sources and organize that data in our decision support repositories.

We have data analytics team members to run various data mining, statistical, and predictive tools such as SPSS and SAS to develop models and business rule recommendations that will be implemented into our advanced targeting system. The targeting system processes real-time transactions through the rule sets and models to determine if a particular person or import/export shipment matches on one of the threats in our current scope.

Responsibilities:

 

• Define data collection requirements to enhance risk management capabilities in an intelligence and law enforcement domain

• Extract patterns from a large datasets and transform data into an informational advantage for decision support

• Perform automated classification and entity extraction

• Help develop a predictive analytics model that includes data collection, organization, advanced statistical analysis and predictive solutions, text and data mining.

 

Requirements, Skills and Knowledge:

• Bachelor's Degree, Master's or Ph.D. degree preferred: Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent

• At least 3 years experience in knowledge of relational databases (Oracle preferred)

• At least 2 years experience in a statistical software package such as SAS, SPSS Modeler, R, or equivalent

• At least 2 years experience Data Mining frameworks and approaches

 

Skills: Machine learning, Database development, Extraction, Translation and Load (ETL), and Data mining application development experience

 

Knowledge: machine learning/neural nets, pattern recognition, statistical data mining, data analytics, structured and unstructured datasets, cluster analysis, multi-analytic frameworks including Model-based, Bayesian Networks, Dempster-Shaffer, and Historical Instance Based Analytics. Experience with Java and/or C++ programming languages, Data Analytics Engineer / Data Mining / Data Modeling / Machine Learning / Neural Nets / Pattern Recognition
