Applies knowledge of Citrix Xenapp and related systems to evaluate and maintain the technical environment. Working closely with the Platform team leads and other team members, proactively investigates all aspects of the environment such that resolutions minimize downtime to the firm and are permanent solutions.
Role/Team Summary: Working within the DataCenter Services team with responsibility for providing support of the Citrix environment, key responsibilities will include: • Provide expertise and support for Citrix 4.5 and 6.5 Infrastructure. • Evaluate, publish, test and document application deployment strategies in Citrix. • Script and develop innovative tools to solve operational issues. • Ongoing evaluation and analysis of current Citrix infrastructure to provide optimum performance. Experience with Load testing tools preferred • Test, plan, Suggest and implement performance optimizations methodologies to the current Citrix 4.5 and 6.5 environments as required. • Perform support & administrative tasks pertaining to the end User environment, Applications, Roaming Profiles, AD policies, and Citrix policies as required. • Proactively monitor the health and performance of the Citrix environment and it’s dependencies in order to maintain optimal performance. • Perform various special projects within Technology Services as assigned. • Participate in the 24x7 on call rotation.

Technical knowledge • 3+ years of experience in administering large Citrix environments ( Netscaler, F5, Edgesight, etc) • 5+ years of experience in Windows Server 2003 / 2008, Terminal Services, DFS, DHCP, Clusters, DNS • 3+ years of experience in VMware technologies ESXi (4 or 5). • Citrix migration and upgrade experience in large multisite deployments • Strong Technical documentation skills • Citrix certified: Citrix Certified Advanced Administrator (CCAA) or Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA)***Nice to have*** • Advanced understanding of concepts and working knowledge pertaining to the following technologies: XenApp, Provisioning Server and Application Packager • Administration of Multi-Site, Multi-Domain Active Directory Environments • Strong knowledge of Server hardware technology: HP - Both standard rack and blades, Storage technologies (ISCSI, Fiber, NFS, CIFFS), • Networking concepts (Switches, Gateways, Routers, Firewalls, VPN, VLAN), SOX audit compliance concepts • Develop and test backup and recovery procedures for the Citrix farms based on Best Practices. • An ability to interact with and help clients with varying degrees of technical sophistication • Ability to learn new technology rapidly is critical • Proficient in documentation and report generation • Ability to accomplish projects independently involving a variety of computing technologies
