We require a number of individuals (hired either separately or as a group) to perform on-call troubleshooting for DICOM transmission arrangements. Duties involve being on call at a minimum of evening hours (7pm to 9 am ET) but preferably 24 hours, in shifts, with 15 minute response time, to troubleshoot transmission of DICOM images. Will require some familiary with a proprietary system for image management which can be easily learned. Generally will involve calls from individuals who are suffering transmission failures, and generally would involve first basic steps such as assuring they have internet connectivity, making sure the transmission machine is on, then achieving remote access to the machine through pre-established or on-demand access software, and exploring step-by-step why transmission has failed. Solutions generally will involve local network connectivity issues, cancelling transmission of unnecessary very large studies in the queue, and other basic matters. Complex cases can be referred to second level support.
