Location: Charlotte, NC
Duration: 9+ Months Contract
The Customer Solution Delivery Team has been challenged to expedite and prioritize 5 critical projects which will lay a foundation for multiple efforts to enhance our customer solution strategy over the next 5 years. These 5 projects have a fairly large scope of work to address, and a program manager is needed to run point on each of the 5 efforts, serving as a central point of contact to both the IT leadership and multiple business owners. The Program Manager will work with individual project managers to ensure that projects are tracking appropriate scope on time and budget, and will serve as a key escalation point for issues and risks. The Program Manager will be accountable to ensure that each project is appropriately leveraging the Duke Solution Delivery Lifecycle, and following standard (and recently implemented) PM Processes.
4 Year Degree REQUIRED
UTILITY and CUSTOMER/BILLING SYSTEM experience is highly desired.
Extensive PM skills, especially planning, staffing, and directing work efforts;
Demonstrated ability to effectively define roles and responsibilities of program and individual project team members and motivate them to get projects done.
Demonstrated success with managing multiple sometimes unrelated project schedules and budgets simultaneously;
Ability to work within a matrixed environment with accountability to Business Sponsors, IT Management/Sponsors, and IT PMO;
Extensive experience managing moderate to complex IT application development projects;
Experience using MS Project to develop and manage project schedules, milestones, and dependencies;
Ability to effectively apply structured project management methodologies,
preferably Accenture Delivery methods
