Job Description: The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will support large-scale systems implementation projects. The APM will participate in analyzing issues and needs in support of business delivery management, business process management and strategic and organizational change management. The APM must be able to summarize complex ideas into clear and concise briefing materials that provide management with both the big picture as well as critical details. Knowledge of SharePoint is critical.
 
Key Functions:  The APM's primary focus is to provide assistance and support for various programs and projects. Activities may include:


* Coordinating and scheduling meetings - providing meeting management services and support
* Recording and distributing meeting minutes, action items, and following up with stakeholders and project teams
* Preparing project reports for team members, managers, and stakeholders
* Gathering, compiling, tracking and reporting information relevant to project assignment 
* Ensuring all project documentation is complete and current
* Providing overall support for project teams in meet deadlines and deliverables 
* Coordinating and managing the project's communication plan among team members, management, and stakeholders
* Serving as back up to the project management team when necessary 
* Monitoring project tasks, assigned action items
* Assisting with risk identification and management
* Assisting with requirements gathering

Qualifications:
* Minimum 2 years of experience providing support for projects, experience with software development/implementation projects

* Strong communication and organization skills
* Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) highly desirable
* Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook), experience with Microsoft Project preferred; experience with Microsoft Visio a plus
* Highly motivated, self-starter with a willingness to take on responsibility
* Ability to work independently, establish schedules and priorities, and multi-task
* Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of management
* Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret various types of business documents
* Veteran status is desired but not mandatory
