Global IT Vendor Management Contract Manager – Austin, TX
6 month contract (renewable)
I.T. Solutions, Inc. is searching for a Global IT Vendor Management Contract Manager responsible to proactively identify, communicate, and plan financial updates (negotiations, licenses, maintenance, risks, etc.) related to vendors.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Support and prioritize execution of ITVM strategic initiatives through effective requirements gathering
- Assess and document global IT vendor management standards and activities through partnership with multiple Client organizations, such as; Global IT Services, Global Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, FP&A, and Legal
- Gather and prioritize existing vendor information for planning and execution activities
- Work closely with the Global IT Planning & Analysis service portfolio owners to proactively identify, communicate, and plan financial updates (negotiations, licenses, maintenance, risks, etc…) related to vendors
- Establish, in partnership with the global IT team, best practices, methodology, templates, process, RACI matrices policies, governance and tools
- Effectively document and maintain new ITVM standards and best practices, including detailed materials, summaries, and presentations
- Manage Vendor renewal life-cycle process, communications and metrics reporting and work with other areas of IT to ensure closed loop processes are in place
- Gather data from disparate sources and provide analytics and reporting on client IT Vendors (spend, trending, forecasts, etc.), and proposed optimization of spend
- Become subject matter expert on industry standard vendor management standards and drive implementation of best practices into ITVM
- Work closely with the Global IT Planning & Analysis service portfolio of piers to proactively identify, communicate, and plan financial updates (negotiations, licenses, maintenance, risks, etc…) related to vendors.
- Responsible for training all VMO services users across IT
JOB QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree or of the equivalent
- A minimum of two years’ experience in work related environment
- Experience implementing and managing best practices
- In depth understanding of Microsoft office practices
- Knowledge of Oracle based systems preferred but not required
- Familiarity with multi-channel, multi-site support structures
- Ability to work both as part of a team and independently
- Superior problem solving skills, researching, and documentation skills
- Is flexible, agile and tenacious – can adapt quickly, be effective in new situations and follow through to completion
- Exceptional analytical and creative problem solving skills
- Disciplined self-starter with strong attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
