Systems Analyst
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary role of the Systems Analyst is to support the business needs of our LIMS technology systems supporting our Operations business units. The Systems Analyst will primarily support LIMS technology systems. The system analyst will be required to implement small alterations to the existing system to ensure that the system continues to meet the evolving business needs. The analyst will also need to ensure that existing system functionality continues to function correctly by coordinating vendor activities and/or implementing internal activities to correct software faults bug as well as doing preventative maintenance and other recurring tasks. This role will be responsible for supporting business processes after projects are live. The Systems Analyst will partner with Application Service Managers, administrators, analysts, infrastructure teams, and other supporting groups. The role will support the validation efforts associated with the delivery of new functionality to these systems and may participate in the testing of applications. The role will focus on meeting customer expectations and working with a customer service mindset.
The role responsibilities include the following:
o Lead and coordinate technical issue investigations and manage technology resolution implementations
o Perform technical tasks like LIMS installations, environment refreshes, back ups, performance tracking etc.
o Develop crystal reports and ad hoc queries (SQL + tool) based on user requirements
o Actively participate in change control by following procedures and Work Instructions
o Liaise with LIMS vendor, other internal technology groups and business users on technology change governance and change prioritization
o Provide Laboratory systems support for QC, Manufacturing, Supply Chain business functions systems (including Agilent CDS, Beckman LIMS, SoftMax, Raman, Bio-analyzers etc.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Excellent customer service skills are a must. The analyst must have a working knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical/biotech operations (manufacturing, materials management, QC/QA laboratory functions, etc). Additionally, the following skills are desired:
