Position Summary

Photonic-Corp, The Silicon Valley Office of APIC Corporation, located in Los Altos, California, is currently recruiting a world-class analog IC design engineer who shares our vision of photonic – electronic integration on-chip.  At APIC, you will have the opportunity to discover requirements for photonics technology and create optimized solutions to make this a truly disruptive technology.

APIC has developed unique photonic devices through its collaborative research with some of the leading universities, such as Stanford, MIT and Caltech.  This group located in the heart of the silicon valley  is seeking a creative analog design engineer with a history of successful projects to join as the team ramps up for its first major project. Duties and responsibilities

Architect and design very high-speed analog and mixed-signal circuits for interfacing digital CMOS with photonic components; interact with APIC’s internal photonic engineers for a rapid start to understanding requirements Contribute to architecture discussions about the photonics platform features and roadmap Hands-on measurement and verification of circuit performance Background/Experience Multiple successful designs in deep-submicron mixed signal CMOS Experience in SERDES, CDR, PLL or LVDS products with very high speed drivers Experience in characterizing and verifying ASIC/mixed signal performance

Well versed with industry standards for high performance mixed signal circuits Expertise with Cadence/Synopsys design tools Strong written and verbal communication skills MSEE with 7+ years of experience in analog/ mixed signal IC design; Ph.D. preferred Necessary Skills / Attributes Desire to work on a disruptive technology R&D or proof-of-concept project environments Familiarity with state of the art 2.5D/ 3D packaging basics Experience in working with multicultural and distributed teams
