The Digital Media Engineer will design and implement digital content to enhance clinical, educational and administrative initiatives. He/she will be relied upon to execute short and long-term strategies for the institutional use of digital media technologies while managing training information and content. This position requires close collaboration with and understanding of hospital IT systems. Image archiving and acquisition in clinical environments, and the development of a digital library system is a key role. This position provides technical leadership within the organization and is responsible for design, development, procurement, installation and ongoing maintenance of numerous complex digital media systems and tools utilized within telehealth and videoconferencing
Bachelor’s degree preferred; college level coursework and/or certification in computer science, videoconferencing, or video editing is required. Final Cut Pro certification is required.
5 years related and progressive digital media management, to include content creation of lectures and symposia, and hands-on experience with video acquisition, editing, encoding is required. Videoconferencing hardware/software experience and managing vendor relationships is a must. Oversight of capital purchases and experience managing large-scale IT project budgets is required.
