Product Manager  (Mortgage/ Home Equity)

Manage portfolio initiatives and develop appropriate strategies to optimize the customer experience for mortgage & home equity product areas to achieve increased sales and leads, while enabling site visitors to seamlessly complete their online learning, applying and servicing tasks.  Ensure that Line of Business initiated ideas are framed and scoped appropriately and implemented optimally with the greatest business value impact.   Define opportunities and develop business cases, success criteria, business requirements, and project scorecards   Drive cross-disciplinary teams to build effective and innovative solutions that generate measurable results; on time and within budget.  Help partners successfully execute their sales capability programs/projects. Be a partner in realizing their business objectives online.  Educate partners about digital concepts and solutions in an articulate and compelling way to drive stakeholder buy-in and prioritization.  Work with team and product groups to generate opportunities to improve online engagement by assessing external customer needs and performing both quantitative and qualitative analysis.  Develop ideas for enhancing existing functionality or identifying new functionality based on customer or industry research, competitive benchmarking and product group partner needs.  Conduct routine monitoring of site Key Performance Indicators and socialize learnings with the team and partners.  Provide insight that can inform decision-making.  Perform analysis to identify inefficiencies in the site and use the results to resolve problems and improve efficiency of the customer experience.

  • Ability to advocate for the optimal customer experience
  • Creative thinking coupled with well-defined analytical and inference skills
  • Ability to handle several projects at once by managing time and prioritizing effectively to meet  time lines
  • Comfort with established product management and strategic frameworks
  • The ideal candidate is creative, collaborative and consultative in their every-day effort.  Have the ability to instinctively identify roadblocks and work towards resolution

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years related product management experience
  • 3+ years with web/online product management experience
  • Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams and taking ideas from concept to launch
  • Demonstrated experience in a business role where partnership with a number of stakeholders was involved
  • Demonstrated understanding of the social web, search engine optimization, rich internet application frameworks, and mobile form factors and how they can be leveraged to improve web site engagement
  • Proven success working in a fast paced environment with shifting priorities while managing tactical and strategic deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze site Key Performance Indicators to identify feature /functionality enhancements; Creative thinking coupled with well-defined quantitative and qualitative analytical and inference skills
  • Strong facilitation skills, including ability to facilitate decision-making and broker agreements amongst diverse, differing, competing, and/or conflicting perspectives/priorities
  • The ability to effectively represent the Web platform products and perspective
  • Superior relationship management skills and customer-oriented focus is critical
  • Strong team player
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience

Preferred Skills

  • Financial services experience is highly desirable 
  • Experience with complex credit and mortgage products is desirable
  • MBA desirable
