Citrix Network Engineer (Anywhere)
Reports To: Senior Managing Consultant
In this position, you will:
- Plan and deploy Citrix Application Networking Group (ANG) WAN Acceleration Products – NetScaler and Application Firewall
- Assess customer network and security environments in preparation for product and services deployment
- Assist in the development of formal product deployment plans
- Obtain additional certifications while working as required to improve utilization
- Travel to customer sites and deploy product & services
- Provide liaison for product and technical support to customers during the deployment process up to completion of onsite requirement
- Own all requests assigned to ensure they are processed within established SLAs and according to procedural requirements
- Proactively engage in every opportunity to ensure prompt, efficient and accurate preparation and turnaround of customer documents according to established guidelines
- Recommend ideas for optimizing the daily workflow processes
- Enhance the brand image of our Partners -- and Entelligence -- by providing an extraordinary Customer Experience through flawless execution of deployments
Qualification Summary
The Consultant should have an excellent understanding of Microsoft Windows and Linux Operating systems and a strong network administration background including a working knowledge of networking security technologies, network protocols (layers 4-7), network devices, application security threats and commonly used tools to test a network. Working experience with Citrix products (NetScaler, XenApp, XenDeskTop,XenProvisioning) preferred.
Required Skills
- Proven Customer Service expertise and focus in an internal or external client facing role
- Demonstrated network administration expertise, including experience integrating solutions into various client environments
- Very Strong DNS expertise: ARecords
- Experience with Layer 2/Layer 3 switching environments:
- Content Switching, Spanning Tree, Floating MAC addresses, Routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP, ability to configure Load Balancing devices, familiarity with Load Balancing methods
- Application firewalls, application security and network security
- Application acceleration, caching, monitoring, and support
- Proven working experience with WAN-LAN switching and routing
- Networking concepts (TCP/IP, OSI, Application Communication processes)
- ARP, TCP, IP, HTTP, SMTP, DNS and other related internet protocols
- HTTP Headers & Analysis (Trace files for input to various policies on the device)
- Networking security components (e.g. SSL/TLS, VPNs, Firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- 4+ years experience working and supporting enterprise, Fortune 1000 customers in the design, implementation and support of networking solutions
- 4+ years of network administration skills
- Ability to obtain Citrix CCA in Netscaler (Netscaler Administration) certification prior to coming on board
- CCNA / CCNP certification
- Ability to obtain the following certifications within thirty (30) days of coming on board:
- Access Gateway 8.0 Enterprise Edition Administration certification
- Ability to obtain the following while working for us:
- Other certifications requested by the Partner and/or Entelligence
Desired Skills and Certifications
- Cisco CSS/CSM, F5 BigIP, Foundry
- Performing network security audits and interpreting results
- Vulnerability scanners (e.g. SPI Dynamics, Sanctum, etc)
- Experience with NetScaler and AGEE (implementation and configuration)
- In-depth knowledge of OSPF and BGP for High Availability across multiple data centers
- Experience with BPDUs, Link aggregation
- Wide Area File System (WAFs) Optimization
- WAN optimization technologies (TCP Rate Control, Queing, etc.)
- Application networking experience with Citrix Presentation Server/XenApp
- Virtualization (Application/Network/Server) experience with Citrix/XenServer and/or VMWare
- 8+ years technical industry experience in customer-facing roles

Logistical Requirements
- Full Time position, Does not require relocation
- 80% travel required internationally
- Must have a current Passport or be able to obtain one within thirty (30) days of hire
