The Telecom Engineer will support and maintain complex telecom environment for areas of focus include but are not limited to: voice systems administration, performance monitoring, troubleshooting production issues, moves, adds, and changes. Interfaces with vendors and projects managers for business initiative delivery. Support 24x7 call center and internal telecom solutions. Specific responsibilities include:
Ability to contribute to system initiatives and new projects.
Provide technical support to the telecom environment which includes Avaya Switch, MUX's, Circuits, IVR, CMS, Dialer and Recording system, corporate voice and data communication hardware and software.
Support the installation and configuring of telecom equipment.
Proactively investigate, troubleshoot and resolve issues by working daily, weekly, monthly checklists / system health checks.
Evaluate and report on workload and capacity of environment.
Interact with all recording and voice vendors to insure adequate service, support, and maintenance.
Monitor and maintain equipment to insure non-interruption of service. Report any performance issues or outages to management.
Run necessary recording, voice and data lines within corporate headquarters and the data center as needed. Move equipment as required within corporate headquarters and the data center.
Repair, reconfigure and test equipment as needed. Install and maintain computer network communications devices (recorders, modems, routers, switches,).
Support Adds Moves and Changes. Remove users from systems as employees leave the company.
Other projects/duties as assigned.
Maintain accurate documentation for environment, equipment and circuit inventory.
Perform routine maintenance such as patching and backups for all telecom systems. Backups specifically on the MAP40 and USC1000.
Maintain current environment topology.
Cleanup and maintenance of Telecom room, including cabling and labeling equipment.
On-call rotation.
Job Requirements:
3+ years work experience as Telecom Engineer.
Solid knowledge of voice or data communications technology normally attained through a minimum of six years in communications assignments, including three years in project management assignments necessary.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must possess strong problem resolution skills.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Ability to make knowledgeable decisions.
Strong work ethic and organized work habits.
Ability to interface well with business and vendors.
IVR experience is preferable.
Dialer experience in a call center environment, Mosaic Dialer experiences a plus.
Strong team contributor.
Understanding of wiring and integration of new equipment.

Avaya, PBX experience and - CMS knowledge.
