The selected creative and passionate Mobile Architect will join a growing technology team. (multi Architect opportunities available)
Qualified Mobile Architect candidates will have preferably some combination of many of the following:
-BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field with a minimum of five years related experience.
-Deep understanding of Android platform architecture with focus on device management, security, scalability and efficiency
-Native mobile application development experience, particularly with Android, preferably on tablet platform -Familiar with the mobile devices landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
-Pure Java Development Experience is must.
-Experience with iOS, Windows 8 or other Mobile platform is plus.
-Multi-device application development experience
-Experienced in design and implementation of APIS using RESTful-style protocols -Experience with RDMBS (preferably MySQL) and No-SQL databases
-Experienced in security, authorization and SSO protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenId.
-Familiarity with Amazon cloud services (EC2, RDS etc.)
-Familiarity with information security vulnerabilities and risk management
-Experience with web, messaging, database and service side technologies
-Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
-Experience with agile development methodologies
-Experience with building both SaaS and on premise software solutions
Ideal candidates will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment. You'll take a lead role in creating an overall mobile application technology roadmap and mobile application architecture in regards to delivering our new and innovative tablet-based product. This job will entail leading the identification of new technologies and best practices in the development of mobile applications.
Responsibilities of Mobile Architect:
As the Mobile architect you will be responsible for creating and documenting high quality, secure, high volume, high performance, and highly available Mobile architectures for our tablet based education platform.
-Collaborate with product managers to translate product requirements into system level architecture and high-level designs that can be used across multiple solutions
-Researching, identifying and evaluating appropriate technologies required to meet product development goals -Help create technology strategy, standards, development and coding practices
-Work individually and collectively with the other architects to ensure standards, architectures are consistent and integrated across the product
-Provide continuous support and guidance to developers to ensure high standards, efficiency, performance, data integrity, accuracy and security of applications.
