Job Description:
The Sr. JAVA consultant will perform analysis and design programming and modifications of computer programs for software applications and customer applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform complex analysis, design, programming and modifications of computer programs for software
• Write detailed specifications, write code, complete programming, testing and debugging of applications
• Document forms, procedures and other documentation needed for the installation and maintenance of application programs 
• May be required to be on-call
• Set high standards for others to follow
• Ability to explain concepts with technical and non-technical staff
• Works effectively with all co-workers; team player 
• Communicates effectively and in a professional manner
• May provide technical and project leadership and assist in training less experienced analysts/programmers
• Assigned work involves broad range of complex design and programming.  Provides input to technology strategy 
• Ability to meet heavy deadlines and may be subject to heavy workloads
• Other duties as assigned

Skills/Qualifications Required:

• Minimum of 5-8+ years of technical experience .
• In-depth knowledge of  Java, J2EE, Spring Core, Struts, Hibernate, MVC frameworks, JSP, Web Services,  Oracle  relational database
• In-depth knowledge of client/server computer environment and the ability to design solutions which make the best use of architecture being employed by client and its customers.
• IBM MQ messaging experience is desired
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent field strongly desired
• Ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously

Education Recommendations: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field with 6+ years of strong JAVA experience
