This is an Application Development / analyst position for the Georgia-Pacific LLC paper manufacturing operations in Halsey, OR. The sites IT supports infrastructure and applications used locally. Applications used locally include manufacturing shop floor, warehouse management, reliability, environmental, health, safety, process control, financial and quality systems. Team member will report to site Lead Analyst.
Develop understanding of Halsey operations in order to support the needs of the
site using appropriate vendor applications, corporate and divisional applications
and locally developed applications.
Support and enhance existing and new local applications through all phases of
application development (interfacing with end users, developing scope,
evaluating alternatives, development, testing, implementation, documentation, t
training and support).
Provide local support for vendor applications and corporate and divisional
Proactively identify improvement opportunities, and remain current on planned
roadmaps and new capabilities
Participate in on-call support rotation and respond to / resolve support issues in a

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

At least 2 years of experience programming in .NET.

Experience with Windows, Word, and Excel.
Experience providing production support that includes: customer service, sense of urgency, communication, etc.
Willingness to work on call rotation.
Experience with C#, ASP.NET and VBScript.
Experience with IT touch points to process control systems (DCS, PLC, etc).
Experience with OPC and DCOM.
Experience working with networks and Cisco networking equipment, in particular.
Experience providing user training and direct user support
Education: 4 year Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, EE, related
