Job Description
Linux Device Driver position in the Server OS team responsible for Linux kernel mode driver for new* AMD APU (CPU+GPU).
Directly interface with the Linux and Xen open source communities in accordance with those community norms and processes.
Develop and maintain Linux device driver that bridge communication between the runtime layer and kernel for allocating and moving compute kernels from the cpu to the graphics pipeline
Write quality C code following the code style of the Linux kernel.
Job Requirements
BS in computer engineering or related field plus 10+ years, MS plus 8+ years, or PhD plus 4+ years in operating system development
Proficient in C
Solid understanding of the Linux kernel architecture and capable to contribute code and debug problems in this code base.
Familiarity with the concept of offloading computation from the CPU to GPU
Expertise in the Linux kernel memory management and page tables
Experience with x86-64
Experience working with prototype motherboards and debugging device drivers on the new hardware.
Good interpersonal skills
Goal oriented and willing to commit to a team mission.
