The Linux Systems Administrator will support customer infrastructure and applications and is expected to provide a high level of technical support to our customers via our ticketing system as well as via phone. The Linux System Administrator is responsible for complex customer issues, which involve being resourceful, using creative problem solving and possessing the skills to identify the source of problems; as well as keeping the customer aware and informed every step of the way. They will also be responsible for performing administrative tasks to maintain system operation, install new systems, and maintain system security and performance.

The Ideal Candidate Should Have:
¨Three to seven years of Linux system administration experience, preferably RHEL/CentOS
¨Proven experience with Apache and web server tuning
¨Proficient in shell scripting (bash)
¨In-depth AWS knowledge
¨Experience working with large (500+ instance) environments in AWS
¨Experience maintaining solutions and deploying applications in an enterprise environment
¨Ability to troubleshoot system performance problems
¨Strong inter-personal and communication skills
¨Capable of explaining procedures in writing or verbally, has good phone skills
¨Excellent troubleshooting skills.
¨Excellent problem solving skills
¨High level of attention to detail
The Ideal Candidate May Also Have:
¨Certifications: RHCE,LPIC,RHCSA,Linux+, etc
¨Experience with configuration management software (Puppet, Chef), Puppet being preferred
¨Experience working in a hosting environment
¨Knowledge of other Linux distributions: Ubuntu, SuSE, etc
¨Ability to script in Python or Ruby
