Job Description

Industry Applications-CMT professionals design, implement and deploy packaged software solutions that have been developed to accommodate unique Communications, Media and Technology industry business and management processes, regulatory requirements and other business needs.

CMT-Industry Applications professionals analyze, design, build, test and deploy innovative Communications, Media and Technology industry-specific solutions that enable industry standards and processes.

Adapts existing methods and procedures to create possible alternative solutions to moderately complex problems.

Understands the strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to team goals.

Uses considerable judgment to determine solution and seeks guidance on complex problems.

Primary upward interaction is with direct supervisor. May interact with peers and/or management levels at a client and/or within Accenture.

Determines methods and procedures on new assignments with guidance.

Decisions often impact the team in which they reside.

Manages small teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture

Qualifications

5+ years of Communications / Telecommunications industry experience
3+ years consulting experience
2+ years experience working in several of the following areas: Network Planning & Engineering, Cable/Telco Content Network Build, Network & Service Provisioning, Video Process Design
2+ years Experience across video technologies - IPTV, DSL, Video optimization, Set Top Box
Bachelors Degree, BS in Engineering preferred

Preferred Skills

Experience with working in the provider space or with video equipment vendors
Experience with digital products and services
Experience with video transport (M2TS, .MP4, fragmentation, rate-adaptation, streaming), encoding, and compression (MPEG-2, MPEG-4, h.264, VC-1, WebM)
Digital Media meta-data, supply chain, and content rights
Content Delivery Networks and Content Management Systems
Knowledge and experience with encryption and security protocols
Foundational Understanding of BSS systems
Understanding of limitations and capabilities of end user devices
Advertising and Personalization
Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
Proven track record delivering complex client projects at scale
