Senior VB or C# .Net application developer to help build a new security management portal from the ground up. The ideal candidate must be experienced writing business applications in .Net, with a solid understanding of object oriented concepts and the .Net framework.  You should also feel comfortable translating those objects into database tables, and connecting the application to the database using SQL queries and stored procedures. 

 The core of the application will focus on maintaining user and system roles in database tables and in Active Directory groups.  Also build some workflows so users can request new security access and have it be approved by their manager.

 Project Specific Responsibilities:

·         Work with the Applications Director and End Users to build a web application for managing security roles and permissions .

·         Ability to script/code necessary database changes, including create/alter/delete tables/procedures/views.

·         Ability to work independently, and follow detailed specifications.

·         Ability to meet tight deadlines.

General Application Developer responsibilities:

• Consult with end users to investigate and determine problems, specify proposed solutions, and code applications.
• Conduct performance analysis of new and/or upgraded systems.
• Design, develop, test and maintain application systems.
• Develop and maintain documentation for application systems.
• Develop web-enabled applications as they relate to improving the existing web infrastructure and integration to new system
• Create dynamic reporting solutions using the business intelligence toolset and MS SQL Reporting Services.
• Collaborate with developers on new technologies to improve development environment.
• Design, create, maintain relational databases as needed for application development
• Program stored procedures, SQL queries, views, triggers, and SQL functions as necessary
• Support nightly batch processing (SSIS) packages

Experience:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems {preferred} or equivalent experience.
2. 3+ years experience working with VB.Net
3. 3+ years experience programming and querying SQL relational databases (SQL 2000, 2005, 2008)
4. Expertise with Object Oriented programming techniques
5. Experience with MS SQL Reporting Services a plus.
6. Strong organizational and communication skills.
7. Ability to multi-task, collaborate and work effectively within a team environment.
8. Educational experience a plus.
