Description

The main function of a cloud systems engineer is to install, configure, and support an organization’s local hadoop/hive/cassandra systems, configure Openstack and Salt, design and configure network and research alternative cloud solutions.

Education/Experience
o Associate degree in computer related field required. Bachelor degree in computer science preferred.
o Senior level – 8 years’ experience required

Responsibility level
o Exercises minimal independent judgment with direction from supervisor

Skills
o Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills (Required)
o Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time (Required)
o Basic ability to identify, interpret and evaluate system and network requirements (Required)
o Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software (Required)
o Expert Knowledge of Hadoop/Hive/Cassandra
o Knowledge ZMQ or Rabbit MQ
o Knowledge Memcache or REDIS
o Expert knowledge puppet, chef , salt
o Knowledge HDFS, JAVA, Python
