As our Network Engineer you will maintain the following network equipment handling the daily acl/firewall changes, network drops, and workstation issues. The network operated by the project is not the standard Data Center, but one that is continually looking to integrate new and enabling technologies such as: 10Gbps ethernet, FCoE, Virtual Switch System (VSS), Virtual Port Channel (VPC), load balancing, clustering Super Compute Nodes, and one-way file transfer systems, among others.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Securely design and integrate small office/mid-size networking devices (routers, switches, ISP
modems, access points) into a system architecture.
Responsible for integration, testing, installation, training and documentation.
Position requires travel to remote sites overseas (up to 4 sites per year).
Monitor, collect and analyze network traffic of interest.
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 7-9 years of related network engineering experience.
Proficiency in communications protocols (Internet TCP/IP, Wireless, VSAT’s, custom RF)
Working knowledge with configuring, administering desktops, servers and mobile devices (tablets).
Knowledge and application of customer business process - procurements/shipping/security cables.
Must be able to effectively communicate.
