We are looking for a Solution Engineer for either our Mt. Laurel/Somerset, NJ office or our New York office with extensive experience in NetApp Implementation, Support, and Consulting. Additional skills with Linux, Virtualization, General Storage Technologies, and Server/Blade Systems is highly desired. You will be working in the Professional Services Division, providing some pre and mostly post implementation services. We need a dynamic and energetic individual for this demanding position.

Essential Functions:

The essential responsibilities of the Solution Engineer are to work directly with customers and Account Managers providing pre and post implementation services and to work effectively across multiple practice areas within ConRes.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

1. Meet with Customers and Collect Customer Requirements.

2. Work with Account Manager/Sales Team to develop customer relationship and solutions and assist in overall sales process.

3. Create high-level solution designs/architecture and present to customers.

4. Create Customer facing Presentations.

5. Create Bill of Materials & configurations for solutions.

6. Build Scope of Services and Professional Service Pricing.

7. Write Statement of Works.

8. Performing on-site work for clients.

9. Project Documentation.

You Must Be Able To:

3. Travel 50% (required).

4. Manage tasks and workloads.



Requirements:

Required Experience:

1. Must have demonstrable design experience in deployment, administration, configuration, and integration.

2. Experience working as a consultant.

3. Experience working with NetApp partners is desirable.

4. Candidates should have a strong knowledge of various datacenter technologies.

Technical Requirements:

Candidates (without exception) must have 2-3+ years of heavily focused NetApp implementation experience and 6+ years of Hands-On & relevant work experience in the following:


1. Day-to-day working experience with Netapp filers.

2. Ability to setup a new filer, or perform a controller swap out.

3. Installing and Upgrading the Ontap OS.

4. Modifying system files via both the command line and management interface.

5. Setting up Ethernet interfaces using VIFs.

6. Monitoring the systems with Netapp System Management tools.

7. Configuring and using SnapManager tools (ex: Exchange, SQL, VMWare).

8. Configuring and using SnapMirror and SnapVault.

9. Monitoring system performance of Netapp Systems, and being able to make system adjustments.

10. Configuring the DeDuplication system feature.

11. Troubleshooting of Netapp Systems.

12. General:

a. Storage Networking / Working knowledge of core Routing & Switching.

b. SAN Solutions: experience in designing and implementing heterogeneous SANS.

c. VMware / Virtualization Technologies / Operating Systems (ex: Windows, UNIX, Linux).

d. Server Platforms: Intel Based / Blade Systems / Cisco Unified Computing (UCS).
