JOB DESCRIPTION: Technical Architect

Seeking 2 Technical Architects to facilitate Application Architecture compliance with Enterprise Architecture goals, best practices, standards, and guidelines.  This individual will generate overall design methodology for applications that incorporates Technical, Data, and Security and Non-Functional Architecture requirements.  The Technical Architect will:

                Develop Scalable, High-Available, Reliable, Fault-Tolerant, Extensible Architecture to meet client requirements

                Define the design for application structure with an emphasis on reusability, portability, robustness, and maintainability

                Develop designs that utilize reusable components to speed application development

                Develop designs that use Industry Standard Practices, Frameworks, Design Patterns

                Document and articulate the Architecture and Design to various stakeholders

                Aligning the needs of Client with IT solutions - strategic and functional

                Guide the team in the implementation of solution as per the defined architecture and design

                Provide effort estimates

                Evaluate technology choices and selecting appropriate solutions

                Mentor team members

                Enforce check on technical scope changes, limitations

                Oversee and enforce technical sanity of the system and disseminate development best practices within the team

Previous experience with system integration in a multi-vendor environment is ideal.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

1.            Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in IT Industry

2.            Minimum of 4-5 years of experience with Systems/Application Architecture

3.            Experience with Java/EJB/JMS/WebServices/JPA/ORM technologies

4.            Experience with either Weblogic or Websphere Application Servers

5.            Experience with at least one of the architecture frameworks (4+1, TOGAF, Zachman, MDA, Service Oriented Modeling Framework (SOMF))

6.            Experience with OO Skills, Design and Design Patterns (Behavioral, Structural, Creational, Integration, Concurrency, J2E Patterns)

7.            Experience with estimation techniques like UseCasePoint, SimpleUseCaseEquivalent

8.            Experience with Software Development Methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, RAD

9.            Experience with Logical and Physical Data modeling

10.          Good exposure to Unit Testing Frameworks, Performance Testing and Load Testing

11.          Good understanding of non-functional requirements like Scalability, Reliability, High Availability, Extensibility, Fault Tolerance

12.          Strong Analytical and Logical reasoning skills

13.          Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills

14.          Ability to multi-task, prioritize and delegate
