CoreJAVA / Flex Developer 

6 to 12 + Months Contracts

Requirement:

We are looking for a Java / Flex developer that can analyze, design, code and test new applications, as well as make enhancements to existing applications.  The candidate must be proficient in object oriented methodologies with demonstrable experience in all stages of application development life cycle.

This person will also need to provide technical support for production applications, and troubleshoot system issues reported by Help Desk, I.T., or end users. Off-hours and weekend work most likely will be necessary.

The candidate will work in a team environment, therefore excellent written and oral communication skills are a must. He or she will be expected to learn the architecture of the existing applications, review requirements documents, create technical design documents, develop and deploy technical solutions.

Required Skills:

• Working experience with Java 1.4+  (core Java )
• Working experience with Adobe Flex 3.0+ and ActionScript 3
• Working experience with SQL on UDB / DB2 database applications
• Self-starter that can break down and solve problems with minimal guidance.
• Excellent, proven written and oral communication skills
• Real time experience supporting major production applications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Other skills that would be beneficial, but are not required:

• Experience with DOJO 1.3+, JPA 1.0+, Spring 2.5+  would be a very big plus
• Experience with RAD 8.0, WAS 7.1, AJAX and REST
• Experience with VS/COBOL
• Experience with IBM Infosphere DataStage
