Job Summary: The Storage Administrator assists in providing 7-day, 24-hour storage and backup infrastructure administration and technology support for SAN storage, SAN fabric and enterprise backup infrastructure for EY Data Centers. This professional work with Engineering and remote support teams in ensuring SAN infrastructure in operational state. The job requires storage and backup provisioning, performance management and capacity planning for SAN and backup infrastructure. The position requires performing incident, problem and changing management functions for all data centers. This position requires in-depth knowledge of the firm's complex infrastructure environment. This position is hands-on with on-call support. Essential Functions of the Job: Must haves SAN Storage Administration

* Strong knowledge in supporting Windows, VMware and Linux/hpux infrastructure

* Concepts of automation and Scripting knowledge

* Expert level knowledge in any one of following and proficiency in other

* EMC VNX , HP 3PAR and HP XPs

* Brocade FC switches and SAN fabric management

* Dell EqualLogic and HP P4500

* Strong NAS and SAN concepts

* Snapshots, Replication and automation

* iSCSI and converged infrastructure Backup Administration

* Symantec NetBackup 6.5 and 7.x

* ACSLS environment

* Tape management and VTLs

* EMC DataDomin and backup to disk environment

* Installation and setup of Netbackup master servers and LAN media servers

* Managing capacity of Netbackup infrastructure

* Troubleshoot backup issues, problem resolution and upgrades
Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:


* Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands rapid change

* Ability to work and team with a multitude of different people to balance demands

* Ability to deal efficiently with escalations and difficult situations/people under pressure, such as restoring services

Qualifications

Education:

* A degree in Computer Science/Management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience

Experience:


* Five or more years of experience in various aspects of storage technology administration

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:


* HP 3PAR, EMC VNX, HP P45K and Dell EqualLogic

* EMC Datadomain

* Symantec NetBackup STK tape libraries is a plus

* Powrshell, VBS and/or Shell, Perl scripting is plus.
