The GEICO Mobile team is seeking a highly-motivated, forward-thinking senior developer to assist with the identification and assessment of products and enhancements that will drive our vision of being the hands-down leader in the mobile insurance marketplace. The qualified candidate will have at least 5 years of software development experience and have a strong background in architecting and implementing solutions from the ground-up. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. The candidate must also have the ability to explain highly technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Experience working with outside vendors and performing product evaluations is also strongly desired.
Responsibilities associated with this position will include, but are not limited to:
-Identifying products and services that would enhance/optimize our customers? mobile experience, increase engagement and solidify our brand.
-Developing and supporting a process for evaluation of new products/technologies.
-Assessing vendor/third-party capabilities and comparing competitors? offerings.
-Recommending and explaining the benefits of particular products to senior management.
-Assisting with cost-benefit and ROI analyses.
-Supporting the Mobile development teams with implementing and integrating solutions.
