Client downtown looking for a Senior level BI Developer for contract to hire opportunity.  Publicly traded company with great benefits!

Responsible for gathering design, coordination, testing and support of customer intelligence reporting and the analytic needs. May work as a liaison between IT and Business to ensure proper testing is done to meet requirements. May assess the appropriateness and effectiveness of a particular policy. Identify and implement best practices to communicate and publish. May Coordinate and lead business requirements gathering meetings with management and business users of the company. Possibly ensure that relevant documents of system set up and working practices is established and maintained reflecting any changes as a result of development. Will Provide support and training associated with the operation of the systems, including induction and refresher training and arranging externally provided training if required.

Senior-level; recognized technical expertise in own and possibly related functions. - Creation of SSAS cubes for ad hoc and canned reporting - Development of SSIS packages to move data from source systems to the reporting platform - Report development using SSRS and Excel - Mentoring/training users in SSRS report development - Support rotation for the existing Business Intelligence environment

Required skills: - High School Diploma, degree from technical/vocational school or equivalent. Degree from technical/vocational school or equivalent , Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems preferred. - BS or MS in Computer Science or Information Management preferred. - Minimum 5 years of development experience in energy industry - Understanding of Kimball star schema methodology - Senior level knowledge of SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and SQL Server 2008 - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills - Excellent communication skills
