Responsibilities will include consulting with internal and external clients to model complex financial data structures using proprietary data modeling tools. Requirements gathering for feature enhancements will be ongoing and will provide significant client exposure. The Business Intelligence Analyst will also assist to educate clients on best practices for reengineering their risk processes. Documentation and test design will also be a part of the team member’s work load.
The position requires a strong proficiency in the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack, including the relational SQL engine, Integration Services, Analysis Services, and Reporting Services. Candidates should be prepared to discuss the most-frequently used methodologies for data warehouse design, subsystems for ETL, and design considerations for multidimensional databases. Experience writing and tuning complex MDX is helpful.
Strong business analysis skills are required. Candidates should have a successful history of analyzing and documenting business needs, identifying potential solutions, and developing an argument for one solution over all others. Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
An exemplary academic record with computer science, engineering, information systems, or finance coursework is required. Experience and knowledge of various development processes and the software development lifecycle is helpful.
