Currently, we are seeking a talented Application Developer to join the Life Insurance Division in Aliso Viejo. The Life Insurance Division works with financial and insurance professionals to give families and businesses the life insurance coverage needed to help meet important financial protection, wealth accumulation, and wealth preservation goals.
This position collaborates with the application and business analysts, other developers, and technical leads to validate application and business requirements for reporting and data integration/Business Intelligence projects. Provides and develops business reporting solutions using SQL Server Reporting Services data integration and ETL solutions using SQL Server Integration Services. Provides production support for reporting and data applications. Will work closely with technical leads, DBAs, and IT Management to troubleshoot and resolve production issues. Develops detailed application requirements and design specifications.
FACTORS FOR SUCCESS:
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
1-2 or more years of applications development experience using structured methods
Experience in database design, development, and business reporting development with emphasis in Open Systems and Microsoft technologies including SQL Server 2008, T-SQL, SQL Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Integration Services (SSIS), and understanding of common concepts of development and coding techniques for Microsoft solutions (VB, SQL, Net, etc.), and basic Database concepts and SQL Server structures and commands
Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills as
Proven communication skills
