Title: Strategic Sourcing Management Lead

Position Overview:
This position will be responsible for working with our strategic vendor partners and internal stakeholders to ensure that our engagements with our vendors are in alignment with industry best practices.
This role requires a hands-on driver of change, who is effective at leading change and can work semi-autonomously to execute on the strategic direction of the team. The candidate will help enable and drive continuous improvement across the organization by improving the effectiveness of our engagements with our strategic partners.
Responsibilities to Include:
• Establish and communicate vendor governance standards, procedures, and tools for use in selecting, directing and managing relationships with third parties
• Act as a change agent by working with the IT and Business Unit leadership teams to identify, recommend and implement transformational sourcing models based on business needs
• Develop and execute on the strategic sourcing strategy to support day to day processing and all related administrative support activity in accordance with the team’s policies and procedures
• Partner with Client IT teams to perform spend analysis and identify savings opportunities
• Execute on relationship management strategies by which vendors are evaluated, selected and managed in accordance with established guidelines and best practices (RFI/RFP, Scorecards, Performance Metrics, escalation/response processes, etc.)
• Define and track quantifiable measures of success for the team
• Consult with IT teams on the construction and ongoing maintenance of their vendor engagements • Analyze and manage to resolution vendor issues escalated by internal teams
• Assist in the ongoing development of security controls
• Participate in, and possibly lead, projects to create, improve, or standard processes that support vendor operations in a global delivery model • Investigate, propose, and implement tools and processes to automate vendor reporting
• Develop, improve, and report on measures of vendor performance
• Work closely with compliance, procurement, and legal to ensure vendor programs comply with policies and vendor agreements conform to Client best practices
• Help to guide teams in capacity planning
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Under the general direction of the Director of Strategic Sourcing Management the incumbent's accountabilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
40% Act as a change agent by working with the IT and Business Unit leadership teams to identify, recommend and implement transformational sourcing models based on business needs *Establish and communicate vendor governance standards, procedures, and tools for use in selecting, directing and managing relationships with third parties

*Develop and execute on transformational change management strategy to ensure organizational adoption of new processes and engagement models
10% Develop and execute on the strategic sourcing strategy to support day to day processing and all related administrative support activity in accordance with the team’s policies and procedures *Participate in and lead, projects to create, improve, or standard processes that support vendor operations in a global delivery model
*Analyze and manage to resolution vendor issues escalated by internal teams
10% Execute on relationship management strategies by which vendors are evaluated, selected and managed in accordance with established guidelines and best practices (RFI/RFP, Scorecards, Performance Metrics, escalation/response processes, etc.)

20% Help to guide teams in capacity planning

10% Mentor new or junior staff members on business knowledge, general sourcing principles, the software delivery lifecycle, and metrics related information
*Travel between all Client locations may be required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position provides guidance to less experienced staff and project management in regards to best practices during the course of regular project execution. A portion of duties include acting as a mentor for the development of less experienced staff.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Desired Experience:
*Candidate will have 5+ years of experience working in a Vendor Management office, including 2+ years focused on IT vendor management
*Candidate will have 3+ years of experience measuring vendor performance, including 2+ years working on IT related vendors
*Candidate will have 5+ years of experience managing projects in a complex technical environment in a global delivery model
*Candidate will have 3+ years of experience in ITIL / managed service delivery
*Candidate will have 3+ years of experience with Program Management Office experience
*Candidate will have 1+ years of experience in contract negotiation
*Candidate will have 1+ years of experience in highly regulated industries (Healthcare, Financial Services, other)
Abilities/Skills:
Vendor Management Skills Needed:
*Experience building and executing in a Vendor Performance Management program
*Skilled in the development of service level agreements, performance metrics, and associated scorecards to evaluate results
*Ability to support multiple vendor relationships concurrently
*Strong skill set in the ITIL framework
Management Skills Needed:
*Skilled in working with offshore teams and remote/virtual resources
*Skilled in developing and executing on a change management plan
*Highly skilled in influencing change, gaining buy-in, and building consensus to effect change
*Strong meeting facilitation and leadership skills
*High confidence level and ability to remain calm and focused to enable teams to come to agreement on next steps
*Strong communication skills to include presenting business and technical ideas, and recommendations clearly in verbal, written and presentation formats.
*Ability to lead teams of diverse teams with strong personalities or management styles
*High aptitude for learning and understanding by “reading the situation” to identify next steps
*Critical thinking skills to resolve problems and present solutions
*Ability to prepare and conduct training to mentor teams on process, procedures and best practices
*Strong skills with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio, and MS Word *Basic Working knowledge of HP Quality Center
