DSA is looking for Software Engineers for a position available in Albany, GA.
The software engineer will be performing data product engineering (i.e., facilitating, managing, and leading software design and implementation) for the CBRN community of interest and ensuring the highest quality and integrated software solutions are achieved. The offeror shall effectively coordinate with various DoD components on CBD information technology solutions resident in Material Quality Control Storage Standards (MQCSS), Shelf Life Extension System (SLES) and Joint Acquisition CBRN Knowledge System (JACKS). Additionally, the offeror shall develop, contribute to, review, and/or edit all documentation pertaining to software, including, but not limited to technical reports, test plans, security-related documents, engineering change proposals, SOPs, user guides and software architecture integration and information support plans.
Level III
Education: Successful completion of a full course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a Bachelors Degree, preferably with a major in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, and DAU Level III certification in Information Technology, SPRDE, or the civilian equivalent, are required.
General Experience: Eight (8) years of general experience and four (4) years of experience in a program office or similar organization Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of DoD and Army regulations as applicable to systems development and integration throughout the software life cycle is required. Familiarity with medical surveillance information technology systems is desired.
Display the ability to perform the following:
a. Apply expertise in software engineering including architecture, software management, communications, information management, and information assurance
b. Lead the software engineering IPT
c. Perform security vulnerability scans on software deliverables
d. Research and direct initiatives to incorporate new/alternative technological solutions based on the latest approved DoD application capabilities and best practices into current systems
e. Produce and review information technology architectures for internal and external clients
Level II
Education: Successful completion of a full course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a Bachelors Degree, preferably with a major in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, and DAU Level II certification in Information Technology, SPRDE, or the civilian equivalent, are required. General Experience: Six (6) years of general experience and three (3) years of experience in a program office or similar organization
Specialized Knowledge and Skills: A broad understanding of information technology solutions, multiple business processes, and technology designs is required.
