Data Systems Analysts has an opening for a Sr Database Admin in Colorado Springs, CO. The candidate will work in the Global Enterprise Operations Center (GEOC). The GEOC provides first contact resolution for all SITE Enterprise Operations Tier 2/3 issues and remote SITE Customer Engagement issues not requiring touch maintenance while reporting resolution actions and operational impacts to the customers mission. Additionally, the GEOC performs 24x7x365 System Event Monitoring for Enterprise Applications, Systems, and Core Services to provide proactive management of these systems and ensure the highest possible availability.
Services performed from the GEOC include, but are not limited to, database administration, Windows 2003/2008 server, Exchange 2010, Symantec Enterprise Vault, Quest, SQL, SharePoint, HPSA OpsWare, Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and other IT services including UNIX, NetApp and Oracle administration.
Work Schedule is a rotating 12 hour shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Willingness to deploy overseas for 6 months (if needed).
Clearance Level: TS/SCI is MANDATORY.
Job requirements
Perform all Database Administrator functions and will work with project managers and developers to plan and implement database projects. Able to coordinate and develop database backup, storage and replication schemes across the DIA and DOD enterprise. Senior database administrators shall have one or more of the applicable operating systems and database certifications required for the server and storage hardware they are working on. A minimum of 8 years of relevant technical experience in working with databases such as design, integration and implementation is needed. Senior Database Administrators shall have one or more Database related certifications.
Must be an action oriented, self*]starter who enjoys working in a fast*]paced team environment. Seeking individuals who want opportunities to broaden their technical skills while working in a high ops tempo environment. Candidate should be mission focused, have sound problem/troubleshooting skills and the ability to think critically through problems. Candidate should have a process oriented solutions focus, excellent communication skills required both verbal and written and the ability to stretch technically and personally.

Education and training
11+ Years with HS, OR 7+ Years with AA, OR 5+ Years with BS, OR 2+ Years with MS
A+, Network+, Security+ or certifications in accordance with DOD 8570.01*]M.
Certification in Security Plus
