Data Systems Analysts, Inc. has an opening for a Senior Acquisition Specialist in Ft Meade, MD. The Senior Acquisition Specialist will have the ability to work with new DoD acquisitions and directly impact the future of a Major DoD technology sector. There is high visibility in the upper DoD management structures.
This is a full time position which requires a TS/SCI clearance level or a minimum of TS with SCI Eligibility.
The Senior Acquisition Specialist will work with a Major DoD Program office supporting an ever expanding role as Enterprise Services authority within DoD. This will require the candidate to provide Subject matter Expertise (SME) level support in the planning, budgeting and acquisition planning activities for current and future enterprise services. The primary tasks will include studies, analysis, and generation of DoD level products to accommodate the DoD, DoD CIO and other Federal Agencies planned and unplanned innovative initiatives.
Job Requirements:
1) Demonstrate knowledge of/ and ability to develop, coordinate, and adjudicate various documentation required for successful mission accomplishment in a Major DoD Sustainment program environment. This includes, but is not limited to the ability to author, defend and coordinate programmatic exhibits e.g. PPBE inputs, Issue papers, IT 300 Selected capital Investment report (SCIR), Program Objective memorandum (POM), PEO-GES Budget Estimate Submission (BES), Exhibit 300 and Exhibit 53.
2) Demonstrate knowledge of/ and ability to develop, coordinate, and adjudicate Strategic Planning exhibits and activities to include Plan of Actions and Milestones (POAM) documentation, white papers, program briefings to include Internal Progress Reports, Deep Dives (Thorough Program Review)
3) Direct, recent DoD program management and senior level strategic planning, budget and acquisition experience is essential.
4) 5 or more years of work experience ion a Major DoD Acquisition program office environment.
5) Acquisition Level 2, or greater, certification as issued by Defense Acquisition University or equivalent.
Desired Skills:
1) Ability to construct and apply repeatable processes to the work environment.
2) Previous experience working with Joint Acquisition Programs at a DoD Level.
3) Direct knowledge of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) internal processes and procedures.
4) Operational level of understanding the offices, processes and procedures related to successfully moving a Major IT Acquisition forward at the Joint/DoD level.
5) Ability to apply out of the box thinking as it applies to the DoD Acquisition process. This flexibility is demonstrated by the projection of ideas and methodologies that consider the statutory requirements while demonstrating innovative reasoning in their application that will help accelerate the process and ensure program success.
Desired Education:
BS Information Technology or BS Business management or equivalent degree/ experience
