Data Systems Analysts has an opening for a Project Manager/System Integration Engineer in Fairfax, VA. This position requires an active clearance or the ability to obtain a clearance

The candidate will serve as the Project Manager/ System Integration Engineer and will be responsible for providing engineering, testing, integration, and program management support for DSA Intel & Civil Programs Business unit projects and business development opportunities. The selected candidate will manage and oversee DSA's Equipment Re-seller, Authorized Service Provider (ASP), and Warranty Sales programs. As part of this support the selected candidate will manage project financials for the aforementioned programs, assist in product sales, and prepare and install product capability demonstrations.

 

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing IT and Cyber security solutions, reviewing, and analyzing engineering specifications & system requirements, system architectures & implementation documents. The selected candidate will be required to prepare and deliver the aforementioned services and document in support of customer project support, sales meetings, product demonstrations, and proposal efforts. This is a key position with excellent managerial and technical growth potential.

 

Candidate must have at least 10 years of experience in systems engineering, integration, and implementation support experience. The pre-requisite experience must include hands-on Information Technology (IT) experience with the following technologies:

  • DNS, DHCP, WINS, VPN, PKI, VoIP and other networking related technologies
  • Administering and deploying MS Server OS 2008 R2 and later, MS Active Directory, MS Hyper V, VMware, VirtualBox, and other server virtualization Environments,
  • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting servers, firewalls, and network storage appliances

 

Selected candidate must be able to analyze and translate networking and engineering requirements into technical solutions. The candidate must then be able to translate developed solutions and technical recommendations into inputs which can be utilized in customer briefings and /or responses to customer Request for Proposals (RFPs).

 

The selected candidate must be capable of leading, managing and coordinating the efforts of a corporate Authorized Support Provider (ASP) and Equipment and Warranty Re seller program. Additionally, the candidate must be capable of providing hands-on engineering and project management support as well as managing and directing the efforts of assigned team members.

 

Candidate must have experience in applying system engineering and program management practices to refine early stage concepts and requirements into system design and implementation documents which will lead to the successful implementation of IT and Cyber Security related projects.

Work experience must include demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Project Management Institute (PMI) Framework and a demonstrated ability to use standard program management and scheduling tools.

 

Skills:

Strong working knowledge of system engineering and integration principles

Specific Knowledge of various engineering and Cyber Security related technologies or services (2-5 years)

Experience in developing and managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in one or more of the following areas:

  • Installing, Integrating and delivering Desktop Support
  • Developing and managing customer maintenance support functions
  • Developing and supporting system availability metrics

 

Candidate must have excellent oral communication, writing, and presentation skills. The candidate must be capable of performing the following engineering and program support related tasks:

  • Creating schedules and measuring progress against stated objectives
  • Preparing technical papers and briefings for senior management officials
  • Reviewing and analyzing test plans and test procedures for information systems
  • Serving as a technical advisor to DDSA senior managers on system engineering, implementation, and testing issues
  • Negotiating with existing and new customers for the supply and delivery of engineering, S/W development, and program management services

 

Required Education and Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical training
  • Two or more professional IT or security certifications
