Java Application Developers needed to develop new and/or modify existing core insurance application that facilitates and enables business initiatives, growth requirements and efficiency goals. As a Mid to Senior-level Java developer you will design, develop, modify, unit test technical solutions to business needs. You will also work on related defects, determine root cause and fix. As a capable Java developer you will receive no instruction on routine work and general instructions on new projects or assignments.

 

Responsibilities As a mid to senior level Java developer, you will design, code, modify, and debug java code for our core insurance application. You will formulate logic for new features, devise solutions to both new and existing defects as well as work with multiple teams to ensure the application functionality is being achieved for the business capability. Determines how existing complex applications, legacy systems, databases, Web interfaces and/or hardware logic, which may be currently operating on multiple platforms, work together to meet the new and emerging enterprise requirements. Develops methods to efficiently reuse existing components. Develops and implements code changes following established standards including but not limited to: architectural, PCI, Model Audit Rule and internal audit standards. Develops design specifications and parameters for the core application or components of a larger integrated solutions that are in compliance with products' architectural blueprints. Develops fixes for bugs discovered during the testing cycle. Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for approval of system and programming documentation.
