We have an immediate need for a Linux Administrator with our largest local client in Phoenix, AZ.  This position will be a 6 month contract-to-hire position.  The client does not sponsor so they are accepting W2 resumes only.
We are looking for a Linux/Unix expert (Red Hat/Solaris). The ideal candidate will need to have advanced troubleshooting skills. The position is about 75% technical and 25% leadership. Ideally, the best candidate would need to have good interpersonal and communication skills as they would be driving bridge call to incident resolution. The shift is Wed – Sat days, 8-5, 6-5, 6-5, and 6-6 respectively.
 
Responsibilities:
1. Performs moderately complex application analysis and design, project planning and control, project implementation with the appropriate approvals while ensuring that parties who need to know are informed of the project status and progress. 2. Adheres to application development methodology and provides support to the project team through direct assistance, help and training. 3. Analyzes the business and identifies user needs to determine how the requirement is to be met, whether it is through a new or modified systems. May propose a plan for implementation. 4. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written for further refinement of business applications. 5. Performs systems testing and support of the user during documentation and transition stages. 6. Assists in identifying and resolving design issues at any stage in the project, and assisting in producing the program specifications and database design (i.e., how the requirement is to be met). 7. May lead moderately complex projects as assigned. 8. May provide direction and support to less experienced analysts to orient them and increase their understanding of more complex systems analysis activities. 9. Maintains and increases professional and technical knowledge and currency by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
