Compensation:   $90k-120K base salary (based on prior earnings and experience)

Position Overview:

The Platform Engineer is a member of the Engineering team.  This position is responsible for developing the base Linux images for our server products for rollout of product.

The tasks include:

• Developing installation and update scripts for new images and security patches.  
• Validating and testing these images on new server hardware.  
• Creating and validating virtualized images for the server products.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in Linux and network security
• Expert level Linux administration
• Experience with various Linux distributions (Ubuntu, RedHat, CentOS, Suse, etc.)
• Experience with IP networking (IPV4/6, DNS, TCP/UDP, etc.)
• Experience with scripting languages (bash, perl, phython, etc.)
• Experience with virtualization (VMWare, KVM, etc.)
• Being a self-starter with an ability to work in a dynamic start-up like environment
• Being a highly technical, hands on administrator with effective communication skills.

Education: BSEE, BSCS or equivalent years of industry work experience;
