As a result of their continued growth our client is expanding their Human Resources Department and adding a high caliber Technical Recruiter to be the interface with R&D, Engineering, Customer Support, Operations and Product Management. Position overview:

The Technical Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing a large number of technical positions for the Engineering, R&D, Customer Support, Operations and Product Management groups. This person will do some sourcing on their own and also work closely with strategic recruiting firms to bring top talent to the company in a timely fashion. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of various software, hardware and services technologies as programming languages. It is critical that you can do preliminary screening of the cnadites to ensure the hiring managers are using their time effectively when recruiting.   Reporting to the VP of Human Resources and collaborating with Department Heads, the Technical Recruiter develops and executes recruiting plans by being creative enough to try non-traditional techniques and being confident enough to question when requests contain unrealistic technical requirements.  Fostering teamwork and networking throughout the technical community with the goal of finding the perfect match over and over again in an exciting company will define success in this role. 

Compensation: $70k - $80k includes bonus (total compensation will depend on previous compensation and experience). Our client offers Fully paid Healthcare benefits plus other comprehensive benefits.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with a variety of hiring managers to understand job requirements and write job descriptions
  • Source (on your own and using recruiting firms) candidates for technical positions.
  • Review resumes, screen and conduct preliminary interviews.
  • Present qualified resumes to hiring managers and track progress of search
  • List open positions on specific job boards and company website
  • Foster long-term relationships with internal and external team members/recruiting firms
  • Research and stay current with new and existing technologies that apply to our clients technology
  • Use applicant tracking system to ensure candidates are logged and then progress is being tracked.

 

Skills and Requirements:

  • Proven ability (2-5 years experience)  in full-cycle technical recruiting: sourcing, screening/interviewing
  • Presenting qualified candidates to hiring managers and tracking the progress of the search
  • Assisting with closing the candidates on joining the company
  • Knowledge and experience with job boards, applicant tracking systems for technical positions such as

Programmers, Developers, QA, Software and Hardware Engineers, and Product Managers

  • Posting job and utilizing social media to attract top talent
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment while sourcing  multiple jobs at the same time, juggling and prioritizing to meet deadlines
  • Good organizational, analytical and time-management skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Some experience conducting reference checks and background checks
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and PC skills.

 

Education: BS Technical Discipline, Human Resources or Business Administration: MBA or EE -an advantage
