Software Engineering to work with a small team building web-based applications in PHP/LAMP using Symfony framework with ExtJS for a social media campaign initiative, supporting development of projects in full lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be experienced in web development writing multi-layer web applications using PHP/LAMP. The technical working environment includes databases in Linux and enterprise servers in a multi-server, high-availability environment.

Responsibilities:
- Participate in fast-paced cross-functional, self-organizing teams to achieve development goals quickly
- Gather, document, and discuss business requirements for larger projects
- Participate in long-term technical software and hardware architecture and design discussions
- Participate in QA, troubleshooting, and training when new features are rolled out to internal users
- Automate common development and support tasks through PHP/Bash scripting
- Aid in escalated internal support issues
- Query MySQL and SQL Server databases to perform ad hoc reports

Required Skills and Experience:
- BA/BS Degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or a related field
- 3 to 5 years of LAMP web development experience
- 2+ years of MySQL or T-SQL Server database development experience
- 1+ years using Symfony framework
- Familiarity with object oriented and procedural programming methodologies
- Experience writing technical design and functional specifications
- Experience with the Linux Bash shell
- Excellent Excel skills
- Experience working in an agile and fast-paced development environment
