Position - Software Engineer

Job Description :

 SW Engineer will work in a professional environment with a small team of engineers to 

develop and release clients next generation of data acquisition products. This position will 

use a combination of developed and open source code to configure and control custom data 

acquisition hardware.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Design, code and integrate modules to meet product requirements.

• Provide architectural input to the development of next generation products.

• Provide requirements traceability from design though testing.

• Perform module and unit functional testing.

• Ability to produce high level designs based on product requirements and architectural 

specifications.

• Use ticketing system to track and resolve bug lists.

• Use and manage code builds using automated routines.

• Actively contributing during department meetings and project-specific meetings.

• Completing other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree preferred, Computer Engineering major a plus.

• A desire to develop real time embedded code on complex networked hardware in a Linux 

environment.

• 5 years experience in C programming. Interpreted languages like LUA a plus.

• Open source development experiences a must

• Designed networked components utilizing IPV6, DNS, and routing services.

• Strong networking and integrated web server background a plus.

• A strong structured software and product development background preferred.

• GUI/Java/Comet experience a plus.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Background in instrumentation, test or data acquisition preferred.
