- Large investment bank in midtown is hiring a SCCM Engineer to lead Windows 7 desktop deployment efforts for their trade floor, then eventually to the enterprise.
Position requires 12+ years of overall experience with current consultancy, vendor or large Enterprise experience as an Windows Architect/Team Lead doing Windows desktop deployment, migration assessment, design & implementation.
Superior customer facing and technical skills including the ability to develop "trusted advisor" relationship with Enterprise customers a must.
Experience with SCCM/SMS and SCOM/MOM, including assessment, design, pilot upgrades/implementations required.Knowledge of application virtualization solutions such as Microsoft Application Virtualization (SoftGrid/App-V) or Microsoft Enterprise Desktop (Med-V) needed. Experience with automated deployment methodologies (e.g., ZTI) and application packaging / distribution a must.
Proficiency with scripting languages, multiple packaging / deployment applications, and distribution methods and experience with MS application compatibility toolkit (ACT 5) and similar Vista and/or Windows 7 tools such as ChangeBase needed.
Experience with Windows7/Vista Image Deployment, Business Desktop Deployment (BDD 2007) and/or Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2010 needed.
Experience with MS Windows Server 2003/2008 required.
Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP) experience required.
Knowledge of MS security (Patch Management) needed. Experience with Altiris or LANDesk would be a plus as is Active Directory and Exchange experience.
Novell experience is also a plus.
Project Management experience is a plus.
Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels in an organization; develop procedural documentation; develop and conduct effective presentations; effectively demonstrate products and solutions; and be able to write customer proposals.
MCSE required.
Bachelors degree, technical degree or equivalent experience needed.
Additional certifications in operating systems, databases and programming languages a plus
