SYSTEM ENGINEER – JEST

JAVA SERVICES SYSTEMS ENGINEER - CAS has an immediate need for a System Engineer - Java Services.  They will be responsible for providing a moderate amount of service support through the day-to-day operation of IT services, service management through the fulfillment of service requests. incident management through the restoration of normal service operation following incidents caused by known errors or problems, problem management to minimize the adverse effect on the business of incidents caused by simple to moderately complex errors in the infrastructure and proactively prevent the occurrence of incidents.  In addition, they will perform change management according to IT Change Management policies and procedures minimizing business risk and assuring intended impact of change.

The successful candidate will need to:

1. Participate as a team member of projects of all sizes including technology evaluations, implementation and refreshes.  Lead small sized projects
2. Take direction from management and senior team members. 
3. Install, configure, upgrade, and provide administration services for Java Enterprise Application Servers and other technologies as assigned
4. Be an expert resource to systems development for the proper use of Java application server technologies

 Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline
• 5-7 years' experience in Java/JEE application server instances deployed on Unix, Linux, Windows
• Web related technologies, languages, and tools
