Position : Integration Architect – EBI-SOA 

Core responsibility of an incumbent in Architect roles is to design an architecture solution which meets the needs of the customer. Different levels of Architect role vary in proficiency, expertise. At higher levels incumbent is more responsible for solution design, consulting the client on appropriate solution, defining and evaluating the architecture. At L1 Prime responsibility is to work on implementing architecture or design, implementing resue / automation strategy and reviewing the design. The incumbment at this level contributes on solution definition but is not accountable or decision holder of the same.

Skill1 - Solution Architecture (L1)

1. Ability to take the functional and non-functional requirements and propose solution that will be able to meet the requirements.

2. Work with the design team to realize the architecture by providing suggestions on design options.

3.Review and validate the design decisions taken by the design teams.

4. Work with client architecture teams in - validate the non-functional requirements -discussing and providing inputs on architecture options

5. Present the architecture and design to necessary stake holders as required.

6. Working experience with at least one common SDLC methods (RUP, Velociq)

Skill2 - Branding and Thought Leadership (L1) Participate in conferences, blog, publish white papers, conduct PoV sessions for customers

Skill3  - IBM ESB BPM Architect (L5) Experience in architecture definition in 2 are more development projects. In depth and strong working experience in ESB/SOA/BPM solutions are implemented . Should analyze problem and provide architecture solutions using WID & WESB. Can plan, configure WESB/WAS ND environments and take system design decisions when implementing solutions over WESB. Implementation experience in Web Services/JMS/SOAP protocols and can comprehend the challenges of a production rollout. Can design WESB security and undertake performance Experienced in integration with JCA and WebSphere Adapters.

CONSULTANT - L2 - Incumbent has depth and breadth of technical / functional/ domain know-how. Can work independently on defining solution for a mid-side, complex projects or contribute to solution of a program. Is expected to specialize in a technology/domain/functional competency area within the organization. Prepares a road map for the competency/industry segment in form of competitive service offerings. Get involved in practice reusable component inventory and knowledge management. Represents the practice/domain in deal negotiations in the sales support cycle, or lead delivery issue resolutions when required. Gets involved in assignments in large programs. Helps in defining business and technological solutions which help customer design and implement new generation business processes and organization capabilities.

 Skill1 - SOA Consulting (L2) Identify Services, SOA Reference architecture & Patterns, SOA Governance Assessment/ DD for small to medium programs, Architecture & Design recommendations.

 kill2 –  Branding and Thought Leadership (L2) Interact with Partners, Vendors, External Forums for branding and thought leadership in the area of specialization. Publish white papers, conduct Knowledge sharing sessions at WT level, advisory sessions to customers Innovative solutions, Defining clear roadmap and strategies, Competitive analysis and product marketing positioning

 Skill3 - Open Source ESB (L2) Should be able to design end to end solution independently. Should be able to do functional and non-functional design using at least one open source ESB product like Service-Mix, MULE, JOBSS, Fuse, OW2 etc, Additionally also should be able to do design reviews and suggest design improvements. Should have experience in testing methodologies for ESB product. Should have an understanding of SOA and should have implemented web services based solutions. Should have an understanding of implementing ESB solutions using more than one .Should contribute to technology forums - whitepapers, articles and innovation .Should be able to estimate and plan for an ESB solution implementation

 Skill3 - SOA Architecting (L1) Should have strong understanding of SOA applications and SOA project lifecycle Phases. Understanding of Integration architecture, distributed computing and various design methodologies. Should have Minimum of 5 to 6 years of IT project experience. Should have minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience, consulting medium to large scale enterprise wide SOA projects. Should have good knowledge on SOA and ESB architecture and Concepts. Should have knowledge or hands-on implementation experience with SOA concepts using any one of the tools available in the market. Should have working knowledge on performance tuning Should have functional knowledge on integration technologies like EAI,BPM. Sound domain-specific knowledge will be an added advantage. Should have functional knowledge of coding languages like Java, J2EE and .Net and Scripting languages like shell scripts on Unix. Should possess strong communication skills and client management skills.
