Job Description (Please provide summary of the position):  

We are expanding our consultancy practice in the North America and are looking for a few good solid data management professionals to join our team.   100% travel is required (Monday – Friday).  You can reside in any North Eastern or Central States in America.  .

This position will be responsible for the development, modifications, execution and measurement of our client data policies, standards and guidelines which affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect. Creates information strategies around data quality, implementation of a future state data governance, metadata and information governance. Will lead large, strategic, cross-disciplinary business change efforts. Requires the ability to change the thinking of and/or gain acceptance from others in sensitive situations without damage to relationship. Resolves problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines or processes. Owns one or more processes, reports, procedures or products, and may also be considered analytical or procedural "experts" representing a unit or team on cross-function process or project deliverables. Provides resolutions to an extensive range of complicated problems. Solutions are innovative, thorough, and practicable. Works under limited direction Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is evaluated upon completion for adequacy in satisfying objectives. Represents the organization as the principal customer contact on contracts and often performs project leadership role. Interacts with senior customer personnel on significant technical matters frequently requiring coordination across organizational lines.

- Demonstrates the ability to work in a servicing and consulting role across a diverse set of stakeholders and project participants
- Experience leading executive level governance committees

- Demonstrated in designing and developing & implementing regulatory compliance processes for at least one of the following:  SOX, Basel, HIPAA, Dodd-Frank
- Knowledge of different types of Data Warehouse, MDM and Business Intelligence solutions
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment

I. Presale support:  work on proposal writing for all type of DG/Data Management projects and present to the client.

II. Engagement:

Work as a DG lead in a team environment or as an independent contributor.

Deliver a DG project from end to end.

Estimate and size a DG project.

Recommend end to end solution, and to provide solutions roadmap

Work with and direct a team of offshore associates.

8 + years of experience in the data governance and data management fields. 

Has a Bachelor degree, Master degree in the area of specialization a plus

Solid background with the following tools:

• Metadata repository
• CASE tools
• DQ tools
• Workflow tools

Have done Data Governance implementation at more than one large engagement.

Have leadership skills through facilitation and persuasion

Excellent presentation and Powerpoint skills.

Can communicate with stakeholders and elicit requirements.

Excellent documentation, diagramming and communication skills.

Understanding of business problems and Business  Processes to facilitate data/metrics/hierarchy standards selection, implementation and ongoing adherence and quality monitoring

Have exposure to at least one of the industry best practices:

• Cobit
• ITIL
• CMMI
